The Nile view is awesome
PROS: nice, large, and comfortably cool bedroom… the bedroom got nice and cold at night which is critical in summer in Egypt. The chef is amazing and prices for food are well within reason, plus he made us some bonus snacks and fruits. The Nile view is awesome, especially from the rooftop balcony, which has a LARGE, AIR-CONDITIONED fan to make it well worth hanging out on the roof. The refrigerator in the room is cold, the stove-top works well, and there is a container to boil water (bring your own tea and coffee for in the room, although this is available from the chef). Mohamed will help you with whatever you need and will always answer his phone. CONS: The A/C is only available in the bedroom and on the roof as mentioned above. Although there is a fan in the living room, there is no A/C in the living room or the kitchen, which makes hanging out in these rooms nearly impossible in the summer. Don’t forget to bring your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap). Overall, the location on the West Bank is WAY BETTER than the East Bank with regards to hassling and you get more of a local scene.
